The village of Buttington is located in the County of Powys, close to its border with Shropshire, and sits adjacent to the A4581 Welshpool to Shrewsbury Road on the Banks of the Montgomery Canal. It is approximately 3 miles from Welshpool and 15 miles from Shrewsbury. Description The Green Dragon is located on the edge of the village, on the main A458 and is a substantial property constructed of brick with colourwashed elevations under pitched and slate tiled roofs. A second door from the bar leads into a laundry room, and from here down steps into the cellar, On the first floor there is a lounge with bedroom and bathroom off and two further bedrooms and a second bathroom. From this level stairs rise to the second floor where there are a further three rooms. To the front of the property is a car park for 25 vehicles. To the rear is an enclosed lawned area with picnic benches for 64 customers and access to an ‘L’ shaped field which has the benefit of five electric touring points and which can accommodate 18 tents. The Business Our clients purchased the business in September 2009 and immediately doubled sales overnight. They operate as a traditional village country pub and restaurant that benefits from its main rad position, serving tourists, passing and destination trade.
